People watching the sunset

In the past few months, the Bluefruit team has been immersed in projects and continues to grow across all departments. Coming from all backgrounds and career-levels, our new colleagues are bringing great skills, passion, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas. By today, we are 54 people strong, which means we more than doubled our team size in the past two years.

Let’s take a moment to welcome our new team members… drum roll, please!

Deborah Robinson (Office Administrator)

I’m Debbie, the Office Administrator at Bluefruit and help out in all areas of the business. When I’m not working, I like to travel and seek new adventure usually involving cars, motorbikes or skiing. I’ve recently set myself the challenge to walk the coast of Cornwall in sections over the weekends.

Emily King (Content Co-ordinator)

I’m from Cornwall. Writing is a big part of my life—inside and outside the office. At home, you’ll find me either writing fiction, knitting (while watching TV), reading, podcasting or playing videogames. I also love to watch ice hockey and I’m a Boston Bruins fan, despite never having been to a game.

Martin Scott (Software Engineer)

I have a BSc in Electronics (from a Polytechnic!) and an MSc in VLSI Systems. Prior to joining Bluefruit, I was contracting as an FPGA Engineer.

Here at Bluefruit, I’m working in C on a multiprocessor project, and I am enjoying fixing bugs and advancing my competence in embedded software. I live in Falmouth where I often snorkel at my local beach (in the summer) and also enjoy beer and flying a microlight, but not in that order.

Thomas Massey (Software Test Engineer)

Hi, I’m Thomas and I’m a Software Test Engineer here at Bluefruit. Prior to joining the team, I was a builder for 10 years. My interests and hobbies are audio and electronics, fishing and boating, and Cornish minerals and metals.

Kieran Millet (Junior Software Engineer)

I’m a Junior Software Engineer and converted to computer science from drama last year. When I’m not at work I like gaming, enjoying Cornwall’s countryside and anything that involves being in or around a pub.

Lewis Matthews (Software Engineer)

I’ve had a varied career over the past fifteen years, including working as a climbing coach, a live sound engineer, a firearms instructor, a wine merchant, and a web developer. Software development and electronics have always been what I love doing and the opportunities here at Bluefruit are irresistible. After a few months here at Bluefruit, there’s no looking back—it’s an amazing place to work! Outside of work you’ll find me tinkering with electronics, kayaking around the Cornish coast, playing the guitar and climbing mountains in Scotland.
