While we have always paid our employees above the living wage as standard, it’s brilliant to make a formal commitment and be recognised for paying above and beyond what we believe is a fairer minimum than NMW.

With over 1500 accredited employers, The Living Wage Foundation aims to encourage companies to voluntarily pay above and beyond National Minimum Wage. The minimum Living Wage is currently set to £7.85 per hour, substantially more generous than the £6.50 NMW, and is calculated according to the basic cost of living using the “Minimum Income Standard” for the UK.

Living Wage Foundation Director, Rhys Moore said: “We are delighted to welcome Bluefruit to the Living Wage movement as an accredited employer. The best employers are voluntarily signing up to pay the Living Wage now. The Living Wage is a robust calculation that reflects the real cost of living, rewarding a hard day’s work with a fair day’s pay.”
