Bluefruit Software has just won Best Place to Work in Cornwall and we are looking for 12 new Software Test Engineers to join our team this year. With no experience required, this is a great role for someone looking to kick off their career in tech.

What is a Software Test Engineer?

At Bluefruit Software Test Engineers are an important part of our quality processes and are valued members of our larger software teams. We understand that a Software Test Engineer isn’t a common role, but it is one of the best ways for someone to start their career in tech. Our Test Engineers often come from varied backgrounds and we don’t require people to have any coding or software experience.  There is also no degree or education requirements. So, it’s perfect for anyone looking to get started in tech or interested in a career change.

What is a Tester Taster Day?

As Software Test Engineer isn’t a very common role, we thought it would be helpful to have a taster day to help people who are interested in tech learn more about the role.

On the 25th July we will be holding a free Tester Taster Session at Heartlands open to anyone interested in learning more about the role. In the session we will be going through what Bluefruit Software do, some examples of our projects, an introduction to a few of the people who work at Bluefruit and a detailed explanation of the Software Test Engineer Role and what skills you need to apply for the job. We will then break for a free lunch. After lunch people who are keen on applying for a Software Test Engineer Role at Bluefruit will have a chance to go through a tester exercise with several of our testers on hand to help.

Throughout the day people can ask more questions about what it’s like to work at Bluefruit and career opportunities within the company.
